Walter Scott Pinot Noir La Combe Verte Willamette Valley 2018
For husband and wife team Erica Landon and Ken Pahlow, 2008 marked the launch of their dream in Oregon’s Willamette Valley with the formation of Walter Scott Wines. La Combe Verte (the Green Valley) Pinot Noir, was their first wine produced, in 2009, at Patricia Green Cellars where Ken traded harvest labor for winemaking space. This current release 2017 Pinot Noir is aged for 10 months with 30% new French oak barrels. A wonderfully focused and complete package of fruit, tannins and acid, it offers smoky black cherries, spice and earth - from start to finish making this a pleasure to drink now or lay down for a few years.
