Viña Sastre is a family-run winery located in the heart of Ribera del Duero in the town of La Horra. Committed to biodynamic and organic farming,the Sastre family owns prime vineyard sites here. Their Crianza 2015 is made from 100% Tempranillo sourced from 20 to 65-year-old vines grownin chalky clay soils. This concentrated red is fermented on the lees with indigenous yeast in stainless steel tank, aged 14 months in French and American oak barrels, then bottle-aged for an additional 10 months before release. Pair with Edward & Sons Surryano Ham - A nod to Spanish Serrano, this buttery, thinly sliced ham comes from pasture raised Berkshire hogs in Surry, VA. Smoked for a full week and aged 400 days.
