Grown in the volcanic ‘tuff’ of central Campania, the Fiano grape is one of Italy’s most noble white varieties, and the Troisi family of Vadiaperti was the first to commercially bottle single-variety Fiano in the 1980's. Today, their 2019 is one of the area's best values, offering tons of mineralogy, bright lemony acidity, and an aromatic taste of southern Italy's warm Mediterranean sun.

The Vadiaperti estate is located in the region of Irpinia, around the town of Montefredane, and range from 1,200 to 2,100 feet in elevation. Vines range from 25 to 50 years old, and harvest typically runs into mid-October.  Grapes are harvested by hand and pressed full cluster directly, fermenting on indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks. Wines are aged on fine lees in tank.
