Sandro de Bruno was founded in 2002 by Sandro and Marina Tasoniero, and today they farm 23 hectares in the Veneto’s Soave DOC. This biodynamic Soave is an outstanding example of what can be accomplished with the Garganega (Gar-GAN-ega) grape. The varietal comes from the Etruscan Trebbiani family with origins dating back to 1200. Sandro’s vineyards are located “above the clouds” on southern-facing hillsides composed of ancient volcanic soils. This Soave’s aromas of white flowers and orchard fruit are captivating, and the subtle notes of citrus make it the perfect spring wine to serve as an aperitif or with lighter fare.
