Romuald Petit farms a minuscule 5 hectares in Beaujolais. These parcels are primarily in Morgon with smaller holdings in Chiroubles and Saint-Amour. Each plot vinifies separately and Romuald assembles the winesbefore bottling. The vineyard is farmed sustainably and harvesting is always done by hand with minimal intervention in the winery. This 2017 Saint Amour shows the versatility of Gamay and its northerly positionamong Beaujolais’ ten crus, offering darker red berry, blossom and forestnotes framed by tangy acidity. Pair with Jumi Apres Soleil, a rich, firm Swiss cows milk cheese with intense and distinctive roasted, nutty flavor.
