Iranian immigrants Moe Momtazi and his wife Flora, along with their three American-born daughters, are the family behind McMinnville, Oregon’s Maysara Winery. Nestled in the foothills of the McMinnville AVA, the vineyard is certified biodynamic and captures unique characteristics from some of the oldest soils in the state. Their eponymous Momtazi vineyard is holistically farmed using only estate-made compost and herbal teas to nourish healthy vines and return fruit of the highest quality. This 2017 Pinot Blanc is fermented in stainless steel, yielding racy, orchard fruit. Its fuller body and mouthfeel are enhanced by the little bit of bottle age and medium acid. Perfect for fish, egg, pork and poultry dishes.
