Founded in 1946, Champagne Jean Pernet is a small, family-owned winery with 17 hectares of vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Vertus, Chouilly, Épernay, Chavot, and Leuvrigny. They produce approximately 10,000 cases per year, and the vineyards are sustainably farmed and hand picked. Fourth generation, Marie-Agathe Pernet, has joined her father, Cristophe and, together, the two are crafting wines of great finesse, warmth, length, and balance. And those who are attracted to family-made mineral-driven styles of Grand Cru Le Mesnil Sur Oger Champagnes will find a lot to love in the Champagnes of Pernet.
50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir grown on limestone and clay-limestone soils
The production is among the smallest of the estate at only 7,500 bottles, and the wine is aged 30 months in bottle before disgorgement. Salmon color yeasty, dry and elegant with a fresh, dry finish.
