Silvia Giorgietti, together with her husband, purchased in 2004 an old farmhouse surrounded by vineyards, orchards, olive trees, and a single, ancient Mulberry tree ("gelsomoro"). They grow Sangiovese, Montepulciano, and Lacrima in a two hectare plot, organically and entirely by hand, in the simplest and most traditional way. Likewise, she makes the wine simply: fermented spontaneously in concrete tanks, and aged in concrete with a little bit of neutral oak. Bottled for 4 years before release.
