Couly-Dutheil was established in 1921 by Baptiste Dutheil, then developed by René Couly who married Madeleine Dutheil. Today Couly-Dutheil remains in the family, owned by the third and fourth generations. Approximately 95% of wine made in the Chinon AOP is red. This is also true for the Couly-Dutheil estate, which crafts this white from Chenin Blanc. A rare treat, Les Chanteaux is dry and elegant, yet complex and rich. Floral and faint white peach aromas lead into a firm texture and striking minerality that pairs well with everything from chicken salad to pan fried trout.
