La Grange Tiphaine has been in Damien Delecheneau’s family for four generations. Armed with Oenology degrees from the wine school in Bordeaux, Damien and his wife Coralie produce organically certified white and red wines on their property just south of the picturesque Loire Valley town of Amboise. The Bel Air is 100% Chenin Blanc and exhibits classic characteristics of this distinctive grape variety—racy acidity, stark minerality and a combination of fruit and spice. Along with the traditional lemon, honey and white tea notes, the Bel Air showcases crisp pears, apples and a hint of cinnamon. Although Chenin Blanc can be made with different levels of sweetness, the Bel Air is a sec wine, meaning it is completely dry. It pairs quite well with white meats like chicken or pork, fish and medium strength cheeses.
