Established in 2008, Capture is a small-production winery owned guided by the renowned winemaking team May-Britt and Denis Malbec, formerly of Chateau Latour in Bordeaux. They source grapes from the Mayacamas Mountains, with remote, high-elevation vineyards in Sonoma, Napa, and Lake Counties. With elevations up to 3,000 feet, conditions are tough for the vines. Thin topsoil forces the roots to burrow down deep into the rock to search for water and nutrients, producing wines rich in character, complexity, and elegance. Their 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is Bordeaux-like with crisp citrus, lemon, melon and white flower aromas.
Pair with a classic Sole Meunière or a salad of winter greens and Meyer lemon.
